DOWNLOAD & SETUP
A clear start.
Your receipt is the place to find your installer and license when sales open.
The early-release installer is unsigned. Windows may show an unknown-publisher warning or block it. Do not disable antivirus or Windows security to install Bouncer. If your PC cannot run it, contact support or request a refund within 14 days.
1. Check your PC
Windows 10 version 2004 or later, x64, with .NET Framework 4.8. An administrator must approve installation and machine-wide protection changes. This release is not offered for ARM, macOS or phones. Check with your administrator before using a managed work or school PC.
2. Download from your order
Open the order link in your Lemon Squeezy receipt and download the Bouncer Setup EXE. Keep your receipt and key private. Avoid copies shared through chat or unrelated download sites. Missing receipt or download? Email Bouncer support with your order number and purchase email.
Current release:
Expected installer SHA-256:
You can compare this with Get-FileHash in PowerShell. A matching hash checks file integrity; it is not a publisher signature.
3. Install and activate
Save your work and close Bouncer before running Setup. Read the Windows prompt and approve installation only if you trust the source. Open Bouncer from Start, then choose Settings → General → License. Enter the key from your order and choose Activate.
Your license covers this PC across its Windows users. Bouncer checks your license automatically in the background about once a week when online, even with the app closed. After activation, there is no offline time limit. Use Check online in the License window if you want to try immediately. Connection failures and licensing-service outages do not interrupt licensed access. A confirmed revoked or transferred activation can prevent new licensed protection; existing protection, activity/privacy controls and Windows uninstall remain available.
Activation interrupted? Keep the error message, contact support with your order number, and do not buy another copy. Support can help recover the existing activation.
4. Optional browser extension
Open the step-by-step browser setup guide with screenshots ↗
Website rules work in Chrome, Edge and Brave without the extension. Website activity and personal daily website limits need the included extension, which is currently distributed as an unpacked development extension. It is not yet available in browser stores, and managed browsers may prevent installation.
Open your browser’s Extensions page, enable Developer mode, choose Load unpacked, and select C:\Program Files\Bouncer\BrowserExtension. Remove older Bouncer development extensions first. Open the extension popup to check its desktop connection. Chrome, Edge and Brave each need their own setup.
Activity tracking starts off. Enable it only if you want it. Review extension permissions before enabling optional site features. Browser updates, disabling the extension or policy refresh delays can affect results.
Moving, updating or removing Bouncer
Before moving to a new PC, choose Release this PC in the License window, then activate the new PC. If your old PC is unavailable, contact support. Uninstalling alone does not release a license seat; it retains the encrypted receipt for reinstalling on the same PC.
Updates within your purchased major version are included. Use the updated installer from your order, save work and close Bouncer first. There is no automatic updater.
To uninstall, use Windows Settings → Apps → Bouncer → Uninstall. This remains available offline and during commitments. Setup removes Bouncer-owned machine controls; personal drafts and activity data may remain. See privacy and data removal.
